Volunteer

Interested?

Are you interested in volunteering with CEF of Polk County? Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Teach or help in a Good News Club®! If you live in Polk County, chances are there is a Good News Club in your community and we are always looking for more volunteers. Attend bi-monthly training and learn how to teach dynamic Bible lessons, scripture for memorization and inspiring songs.
  • Host a 5-Day Club® in the summer! If you have a backyard, a living room or even a park in your neighborhood, you can host a 5-Day Club. All you have to do is invite the children in your community and provide a snack. We will bring in a team of trained teenagers to share the Gospel through Bible lessons. songs and games.
  • Host a Party Club! If you can't commit to a weekly or week-long event, host a party club. These one-time events allow you to reach the kids in your community through an hour and a half long evangelistic outreach.
  • Share the Wordless Book at fairs! We have a booth at several fairs and festivals during the summer in Polk County. With a handy tool called the Wordless Book, you can share the whole Gospel with a child in under 10 minutes! With face painting and balloon animals as well, fair ministry is a blast. Come spend a few hours reaching kids at the fair this summer!
  • Help in our office! Periodically we need help in our office. We send out newsletters every few months that need to be stuffed, and there is always cleaning and tidying that can be done. If working with kids isn't your calling but you still want to help, volunteering in the office is a great way to be involved.
  • Pray!! Prayer is essential to everything we do, and we believe in a God who hears and answers prayer. Click here to be added to our Prayer and Praise mailing list.

How to Volunteer

To be a volunteer with Child Evangelism Fellowship® you must fill out an application, pass a background check, be in accordance with our Statement of Faith, sign a Worker's Compliance Agreement, listen to and be in agreement with our presentation of our child protection policy. At CEF we put the highest priority on the safety of the children in our care. Each volunteer represents CEF as an organization but most importantly, they represent the Lord. We want to be above reproach in every aspect of interacting with children. This is why it is so important that every volunteer is thoroughly screened and trained. Below you can find links to the applications and screening process, as well as our Statement of Faith and Child Protection Policy.
